Gary Robert and Community are a postpunk band from Cape Girardeau, Missouri with punk, goth, and death rock influences. Their sound is dark, moody and intense with driving rhythms, atmospheric guitars and baritone vocals. They explore themes of mortality, existential crises, and social commentary. Established in 2008 by Gary Robert (vocals) Brandon Glenn (drums) Chris Talley (bass) joined in 2022. The first single from the album was Shout. Drums. Dance. on September 10, 2024 and the second single Black Panorama will be released on January 16. Their latest album The Whispering will be released on February 20.
